Wildwood is the boardwalk town on Five Mile Beach, with some of the widest beaches on the Jersey Shore. Its housing runs from older shore houses with big front porches to three-story homes with stacked balconies, new construction townhomes and oceanfront condos, and many of them are second homes or rentals. We have photographed that whole range: drone aerials over the beach for a condo on Atlantic Ave, a three-story shore home on Rio Grande Ave with a backyard pool and a bunk room, a two-story home on W Pine Ave with balconies and a backyard swim spa, a three-story shore house with a wide front porch on E Garfield Ave, and new townhomes with three levels of balconies on W Bennett Ave.
Inside, these homes are set up for groups. At Rio Grande Ave we photographed a living room with a teal accent wall, a kitchen island with bar seating, a dining area with sliding doors to the balcony and a bunk room with a twin-over-full bunk bed. W Pine Ave had an open living room with a gas fireplace and a tiled walk-in shower. E Garfield Ave had a dining room beside a brick fireplace and a back patio with colorful chairs under a shade tree.
What photos sell a Wildwood listing
Wildwood buyers often shop from out of town, and many are thinking about rental income as much as living space, which changes what the photos need to show. Balconies, porches, pools and decks get dedicated shots because they are what a renter books. Bunk rooms and extra bedrooms get photographed so the sleeping space is easy to picture. And the drone does the most important job: an aerial down the street toward the beach and ocean shows the walk to the sand in one image, like the one we flew down Rio Grande Ave. A virtual twilight is especially effective on shore homes with lots of windows and balconies, where the house glows against a dusk sky. For new construction that is still empty, virtual staging can furnish a room, like the staged bedroom at the W Bennett Ave townhomes.
