Virtual Twilight Real Estate Photos in South Jersey
What a virtual twilight is
A virtual twilight starts with a daytime exterior photo. In editing we replace the sky with a dusk sky, warm up the light, and make the windows glow as if the lights are on inside. The result looks like a photo taken at sunset, without scheduling a second trip to the property for a narrow window of evening light.
Why it works as a cover photo
Most listing photos are taken in the middle of the day, so a search page is a grid of houses under similar skies. A twilight exterior stands out in that grid. It also helps homes whose daytime fronts look plain: a ranch with a flat midday sky, a townhome row, a new build without landscaping yet. Twilight flatters architecture with a lot of glass, like the mid-century modern home we shot on Dove Dr in Millville, and shore homes with stacked balconies, like the Rio Grande Ave house in Wildwood. We can also apply it to a drone photo for a twilight aerial of the street.
How we choose the shot
We pick the exterior angle that shows the house best, usually the straight-on or slight-angle front view, and edit it as a twilight while keeping the daytime version for the gallery. Showcase and Premiere include two twilight edits, so you can use one as the cover and one later in the gallery or on social media.
